RELEASE INFO UK-based singjay Chukki Starr has a strong foundation in today's new roots movement. He has adapted the techniques and phrasing from the current topnotch cultural deejays from Jamaica - most obviously Capleton. However, it's wrong to conclude he's cloning one of the name brand young Jamaican deejays and he certainly can't be accused of plagiarism as he chants lyrics with a firm foundation in his own local experiences. Some two years after the first recording sessions took place Neil Fraser aka the Mad Professor finally released Chukki Starr's new album "Ghetto Youths Livity" after it was heralded earlier in the year with the highly acclaimed "The Almighty One" single. Musicians include : The Robotiks, Mafia & Fluxy, Fish Brown, Dean Fraser, Preacher & Urban Breeze. |
